    Tom Tom is garbage.

  2. Dale Choi says:

Two things. Apple had to get rid of Google maps because under their contract agreement, when using Google Maps, Apple could not integrate turn by turn navigation into their phones. And, what’s wrong with a smaller connector? It allows the phone to hold more. Bigger external speaker, bigger battery, thinner phone. etc etc.

So I can basically wear a blindfold in a city i’ve never been to and end up in the same place apple maps directed me to eh?

  4. MinaSinaMe says:

ohh apple….you are so innovative and brought this “great” map to your followers. well done. i, on the other hand, will be enjoying Nokia Maps when Lumia 920 comes out. The best Maps/SatNav you can imagine. Tested and proved solid.

Yes that is what I thought too. Does this at all seem familiar :)

Well Dominic Lacerenza, to bad Apple didn’t consult with you first. The meeting would have been enlightening judging by your insightful commentary here i.e. “Apple fucked it’s users”,”none of their old shit works”, “buying that piece of shit”, ” finding new ways to fuck their customers”, ” They all eat that shit up and scrape the plate when they’re done”. Your a real credit to all those that come from Latin America, home of the brilliant.

    To our customers,

While we’re improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.

Everything we do at Apple is aimed at making our products the best in the world. We will keep working non-stop until Maps lives up to the same incredibly high standard.

    Apple’s CEO

I like how Apple fucked it’s users by getting rid of a functional map application and then making everyone use a different adapter so none of their old shit works with it. Even more surprising is how many people are buying that piece of shit from the company that’s only real innovation is finding new ways to fuck their customers over every year. And why not? They all eat that shit up and scrape the plate when they’re done. Haha

you can also use nokia maps on the browser and i think its way better than google… you can use turn by turn navigation with voice guidance…

  13. diablo1105 says:

“You now get turn by turn navigation” ugh? Google Maps already had that!

  14. SkudNoodles says:

Great, more interactive motion games. Just what we need.

  15. DrBIeed says:

If you guys are always so disapointed with apple products why do you keep buying them?

  16. DrBIeed says:

What was Apple suppose to do? Google refused to bring turn by turn to Gmaps on IOS like it was a major fuking feat… They have a stangle hold on the market and Apple decided to do its own thing. Apple will work out the bugs… Google has been in the maps business for alittle over 5 years now and were all upset because an application that’s been out for 1 week can’t hold a candle to it…

  17. PadyEos says:

Wait, so you say places like Tokyo, Germany, Great Britain and the like are and should be far less important than the USA for Apple Maps? Do they look like backwaters from the US shore? Sorry to break it to you but currently America looks like a backwater to us… I mean I’s hate to get sick in your country for fear of going bankrupt..

  18. sensei887 says:

why does everybody keep repeating that there is a flyover feature??? For the last time, i am not a bird!!!!

  19. daireyou says:

apple eat their pride, and they are greedy.. from now on I will not buy any apple product..

  20. drew2pac says:

yes that is true. but from a corporate strategy point of view, why would they release something that isn’t up to par? its all good and well saying these things take time etc. but then why release it prematurely? this would damage apple reputation for quality, reliability, functionality. not to mention the trust issues consumers would have in the future, when apple tout something as the ‘next big thing’.

basically everything apple stood for is now in jeopardy.

  21. drew2pac says:

apple you have fucked up big time. i have many apple products. but for them to do this is just a joke. why have they done it?! on one of the most important apps (for me anyway).

the worst bit is, the apple hype ‘this is setting a new bar. this is the best iPhone ever’ etc. is now a joke. the issue is with trust now. if apple say something is good, should we believe them? should we expect? in maps case, no
